Today in our careers lessons KS4 students took part in a mock interview.
This week in horticulture key stage 4 students investigated and compared soils at different locations around school. We used litmus paper to test and compare the acidity of the soils.
This morning is PSD our students took part in some role play. They were given different scenarios to resolve. Students then discussed how the situation was dealt with and what could of gone differently.
This morning some of our students received some special certificates for all their hard work this week.
Students had a fantastic time practiced their new skills of singing, drumming, dancing and signing during their expressive arts session.
Students in Key Stage 4 have used their gardening skills during horticulture lessons
to add colour and aroma to an area of the playground. Thanks to Mrs Jackson for kindly donating the plants.
We love our Friday fun wellbeing sessions. We are learning the Cotton Eye Joe dance with Miss Bond and Mrs Bright. Next is yoga, followed by relaxation. Superb!!!
Key Stage 4 Foundation have enjoyed learning about 3d shapes and their properties. We created our own 3d shapes such as cubes, cuboids and square based pyramids by cutting, folding and sticking the 2d net of the shape.
We have been developing our number understanding by playing games
We enjoyed hunting in the hay to match up egg halves by either number or colours.
Today we continued our number work using column addition, number bonds to 10 and arrow cards for place value.
KS4 Art and Design students have been practising drawing cartoon characters and cartoon features and expressions.
Then they used the iPads to research a cartoon artist of their choice and had a go of doing some of their own drawings in the same style.
