Wellness Intervention



This intervention is designed to increase student’s understanding of how to lead a healthy lifestyle and how to maintain both physical and mental well-being.


Aims of Intervention

  • To increase student’s understanding of what well-being is and ways they can ensure they are maintaining their general well-being
  • To support student’s in becoming an independent, resilient young person
  • To support students in developing personalised strategies for self-care



  • A range of topics will be covered including: physical, emotional, mental, social, spiritual and environmental wellness
  • Elements of the 5 ways to well-being (Mental Health Foundation)
  • Opportunities to engage with external agencies e.g. Yoga for Autism
  • Strategies and resources developed by Mental Health First Aid UK
  • Students will develop:
  • An ability to self-manage their emotions
  • An understanding of what strategies work best for them
  • An understanding of how they can lead a healthy, happy lifestyle


Measured Impact

  • Through the Well-being Measurement Survey – completed at the start and end of the year
  • Weekly self-assessment sheets
