3W paid their respects at the War Memorial.

This week, 3W students helped make a poppy wreath and then, during their My World lesson, took it to the War Memorial to pay their respects...

Our class made a wreath of poppies,
A special thing to do,
With care and pride we made it,
In colours bright and true.

We set off for the War Memorial,
Our wreath held with great care,
To remember those who gave so much,
And show how much we care.

Along the way we stopped to learn,
How to cross the road safely,
Looking both ways, waiting patiently,
And crossing carefully.

We laid our wreath with pride and respect,
A moment to remember,
A lovely way to honour those,
Who we remember each November.
