KS4L Transition Week
Year 9’s and 10’s have enjoyed a fun filled week of transitions.
Pupil’s enjoyed: meeting their new peers, making new friends and settling into their new class.

KS4 Sensory Story

KS4L & W- Park Trip
KS4L & W enjoyed learning outside the classroom at the park.
Pupil’s practiced their Skills Builder: teamwork, problem solving, speaking and listening skills.
KS4L- BeeBot Maths
Pupils in Miss Wilson’s maths class enjoyed using the BeeBots to learn about position and direction.
Pupils followed a range of visual and verbal instructions to move their BeeBots in different directions.
KS4L- The Emperor’s New Clothes
Miss Wilson’s CLL class enjoyed exploring their new book ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes’.
Pupil’s pulled out and explored different items related to the story. Pupil’s then used these items to predict what is going to happen in the story.
KS4- Sensory PE
Student’s in KS4 enjoyed setting up and completing a circuit as part of their sensory PE session.
KS4L- Rainbow Catchers
As part of our CREST Science Award, pupils in KS4L went on a ‘rainbow hunt’.
Pupil’s learnt about rainbows and then went into the local community to ‘catch’ the colours of the rainbow on their colour palettes.
KS4L: Southport Trip
Student’s in KS4L, enjoyed a trip to Southport for their CLL topic ‘holidays’.
Pupil’s enjoyed going to the park, playing in the arcades, having a drink in the cafe and buying something from the shops.
KS4 Bunny Biscuits
Miss Wilson’s DT class enjoyed following a visual recipe to make ‘bunny cookies’.
Pupil’s practiced their: creativity, teamwork, listening and staying positive Skills Builder skills as part of Careers Week.
KS4L: Careers Week
KS4L enjoyed practicing their Skills Builder skills as part of careers week. Pupils and staff enjoyed playing basketball and practicing their teamwork, leadership and listening skills.
KS4L- Sneaky Shadows
KS4L enjoyed learning about shadows as part of their Science CREST Award. Pupils experimented with making shadows outside. Pupils went on different equipment; stood still and moved to see if their could change their shadows.
KS4L- La Chandeleur
KS4L enjoyed learning about Candlemas. KS4L learnt about French traditions and beliefs. Students followed a visual recipe to make Crepes to celebrate La Chandeleur, in a traditional French way.
