We enjoyed a lovely first day back in school together, getting to know our new friends and teachers. 

KS4 loved their CSI WOW day today. Students investigated a murder crime scene, looked for clues, conducted forensic tests and analysed finger prints. The culprit was duly arrested and taken away thanks to their powers of deduction. Great fun was had by all.

Students from KS5L created an amazing wall display during their communication, language and literacy lesson. Students listened to a poem about the seaside and then were given the task of creating their own version, inspired by days out at the seaside that they love.

KS5C had a day of taking part in problem solving activities from making the tallest down using dry spaghetti and marshmallows, making a marble run, tallest paper tower from paper and sellotape and working as a team to get the marble from one end to the other using tubes.

Students from KS5 have been learning valuable counting skills by counting the stock of the KS5 tuck shop. Students spent the morning learning about the 5 ways to wellbeing and reflected about how they can look after their own wellbeing. 

A superb day was enjoyed by all canoeing in this beautiful summer weather. All students worked as part of a team to play games. They were even able to move positions in the canoes by using their balance.

KS5W enjoyed a lovely afternoon with their families. Their music therapy teacher arranged a special performance for the parents and then students served cakes and biscuits which they had baked. It was a wonderful family celebration. 

The students in KS3S focus on key core words each week. Last week students learnt to respond to, and use, the word “in”, and this week they have done the same for the core word “out”… we therefore couldn’t resist getting out in the sunshine and doing the Hokey Cokey together! Students had so much…
