Some of our students from KS4 loved what the Naughty Elf delivered to KS4C class today. A full drum set. The students loved it {and the staff}. Great fun for all. Thank you Naughty Elf! 

Last week, 3H students had fun making melted Snowmen biscuits.....

On Digestives, snowmen were made,

Marshmallow heads, well displayed,

Rolo hats perched just right,

In the fridge, over night,

Chilly treats that no one could evade!

3S students learned 'One Less' using 10 Coke bottles, sitting on a bench.

Ten bottles lined up for the crew,

Mentos dropped in and the fizz grew,

With each explosive pop,

They subtracted a drop,

Nine left—learning 'one less,' they…

This week KS5W have baked cakes and made shortbread biscuits to give to our visitors for their coffee morning. We made Rudolph cakes using items which were donated to the school by one of our parents, fairy cakes and also our shortbreads which the students decorated with icing. 

KS3L want to talk this week about all the things they are enjoying about school right now.

Jamie - I have enjoyed playing with my friends and we have all been playing nicely and been able to solve problems together.

Tony - I have enjoyed Computing doing a PowerPoint about Twas the night…

Students worked in small teams or individually to create Christmas themed Lego models. Each student had a card with Santa, a Christmas tree and a snowman on they then had to find the pieces they needed in the mixed tuff tray. Each student created their own versions and worked wonderfully…

Students in KS4W enjoyed a visit to west lancs diner. They used coins and notes to pay for their own snack and drink. They enjoyed social time together with their class staff and friends. 

KS5 H took part in a crate stacking activity at Haigh hall. They used teamwork skills, communicating with one another so they were able to reach as high as possible.

As part of our community visit, KS4L explored their local library and checked books in and out. Student’s chose their favourite books and read these to their friends.
 

A busy week for 3H.......

3H students' week was so busy,

Then Jack's birthday made all feel quite fizzy!

Students this term have been working on their social, communication and fine motor skills through Lego therapy. Students worked in teams at the beginning of term to create Lego models. Each student had a different job role.
