In Key Stage 4, students have been following a visual recipe to make their own Snowman Cupcakes ready for our Christmas Markets. 
 

What a fantastic morning! Thank you to all who supported; it was so lovely to see so many families enjoying themselves. 

Our elves are busy counting the money, we will be sharing our grand total soon.

KS4 have been busy baking and making.

We have some wonderful creations,

Cakes and decorations,

We’ve used twigs and glue,

To make something new.

WLCHS Christmas Markets 7/12/23

One of our KS4W students has been a busy little elf with his family, making lots of beautiful handmade decorations to sell at our Christmas markets this year. Thankyou for such a lovely donation. 

Last week, the sound of the week for 3S was 'k' and the Core Word was 'Like'. 

The students practiced using the word 'Like' while they played.

In class the 'k' sound was key,

Students practiced to sound it with glee.

With "like" they did play,

Saying it every which way,

Till 'k'…

KS4’s Maths topic is ‘time’. The students had to use a depart and return time to plan their trip. Students also covered a range of PLG’s such as reading time, calculating money, road awareness, talking to store staff and talking to peers. 

Students in 3H have been learning about how batteries work and have been experimenting with electronics.  Using a few wires, a battery and a switch, they loved making fans and light bulbs work.

In CLL, KS4 pupils started a new story. Pupil’s had to pull out objects related to the story from the bucket and use their prediction skills to predict what might happen in their new story. KS4 then watched the advert: Mog’s Christmas Calamity to see if their predictions were…

Today at the cafe, KS5W ordered their own drinks, paid for them, waited for their change, put the change and receipt back in their wallet and carried their wallets and drinks over to their table. It was wonderful to so see how little staff support was needed and the lovely manners showed…

KS5 H used public transport to get to NYE Bevan Gym. They all worked very well during the session using a variety of the cardio and weight machines.
