During Maths the students were looking at data. We made the learning fun by getting the students to take part in an online blooket competition. This enabled the students to look at different ways that data is recorded.

This week KS5C have been counting tuck shop and selling it to fellow students touring break time. This is helping students to build on their counting and communication with other people and developing good teamwork skills.

For lunch in unit this week KS5C have made Mac and cheese with crispy bacon and wedges. All of the students took part in making the dish and using kitchen skills like chopping, mixing, measuring, frying, boiling and using a microwave to make a syrup sponge pudding. 

This week KS5C have made cottage pie and flapjacks for their lunch in unit meal. Every student took part in mixing, peeling, mashing, browning, chopping and melting ingredients to create their lovely meal.

KS5L have written a newspaper article about the Bear who came to babysit. The students listened to a story about a big brown bear who came to babysit, they were asked to write about this and draw a lovely picture of their favourite part of the story. The students enjoyed this activity and were…

Students from KS5L have been working hard to create a newspaper report on the Bear that came to Babysit. The students loved the adventure of the babysitting bear and enjoyed picking out their favourite parts to put in their newspaper article.

KS5W have loved being able to have a dance to start our Friday off. This helps the students to get ready for the day ahead and set a positive tone for the next lesson. 

KS5W have been working all week within their classrooms to earn money to be able to spend in our classroom shop which we open every Friday morning. This helps students to develop skills with money management, communication and also developing skills in work experience with completing their jobs.…
