KS5W have enjoyed working with our music therapist,  learning new songs and playing all different instruments. This is a lesson the students are so excited for every Friday and all have a turn at doing something new each week.

KS5W have been creating their own red noses for Red Nose Day. They completed mazes, red noses and colouring pictures. 

KS5W have been practicing their fine motor skills by turning pages within books, learning to tie shoes laces, matching right colours to the right bowls and practicing small fastening like buttons and tags. 

On Wednesday 13th March KS5W made southern fried chicken and home made chips with beans for their main meal and then they made flapjacks for their pudding. Students from KS5L have made a pork roast dinner and a pineapple upside down cake. The students all supported each other and took part in peeling and chopping vegetables, mixing and weighing ingredients, boiling water for the vegetables and prepping the meat as well as making stuffing balls. All…

This week KS5 H have been counting stock for the tuck shop and then the students have then been selling the tuck to their fellow peers during break time. This has helped students with their Maths skills, Communication skills and even have those interactions with others within the year group. For…

The studentsfrom KS5 S had a lovely time being able to have some sensory massage within the immersive room. They went from space to deep under the sea which is our students favourite place to visit. This gives the students time to relax and stretch out and explore new places.

Students from KS5S had fun out on the MUGA during an afternoon working on their abilities to catch and kick a ball. The students loved being able to be out in the nice weather, being able to shake the ball off the parachute and kick the ball through the cones. 

During Maths the students were looking at data. We made the learning fun by getting the students to take part in an online blooket competition. This enabled the students to look at different ways that data is recorded.

This week KS5C have been counting tuck shop and selling it to fellow students touring break time. This is helping students to build on their counting and communication with other people and developing good teamwork skills.

For lunch in unit this week KS5C have made Mac and cheese with crispy bacon and wedges. All of the students took part in making the dish and using kitchen skills like chopping, mixing, measuring, frying, boiling and using a microwave to make a syrup sponge pudding. 

This week KS5C have made cottage pie and flapjacks for their lunch in unit meal. Every student took part in mixing, peeling, mashing, browning, chopping and melting ingredients to create their lovely meal.
